Dr AL-Tuwaijri is the
director of the International Programmed
on Occupational Safety and Health and
the Environment ( SafeWork), in the
Social Protection Sector at the ILO
Headquarter in Geneva.

programmer is responsible
for ensuring that safety and health are
integral part of every job, as part of
the ILO's decent work agenda.

Dr Al –Tuwaijri is a
physician by classical training. She has
practiced clinical

medicine before venturing
into public heath.

She has a master's degree in
health policy and management from George
Washington University, a Masters degree
in Public Health from Harvard, and a
post-doctoral degree in health systems
from Johns Hopkins University.

Before joining the ILO, she
has worked for other UN agencies like
the World Bank,WHO and UNFPA.
Dr Al-Tuwaijri
is a native of Saudi Arabia, married and has
one child. |
